Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers clean and beautifully furnished rooms, but the constant illumination might disturb those who prefer darkness for sleep. The service is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect for a mid-way stop, providing a relaxing atmosphere by a real log fire in a 15th-century hall. The dining experience is pleasant with minor hiccups like fruit salad running out. The facilities are well-maintained.
Our Golden Wedding / 70th Birthday celebrations were made cozy and comfortable in the traditionally decorated suite, despite the small size. The hotel offers a charming ambiance with its up-and-down corridor layout, perfect for a special occasion.
The hotel had lovely views over the countryside and was beautifully furnished and immaculate, providing very comfortable rooms. However, there were 2 major flaws as our room was directly over the function room with minimal sound insulation, making us hear and feel the sounds from the party below.
